Objectives: 
Reading Comprehension about the problem of migrating from the countryside to the city.
Language contents:
Words: migrant, flood, typhoon, drought, struggle, (rural, plentiful, increase, strain, tragedy, urban).
Grammar : Present progressive tense . 
Techniques:
- Skimming for words, scanning for details: Qs and As, summarizing.
Teaching aids:
- Projector . 
Procedures:
T’s activities & Sts’ activities
Content
T asks Sts some questions
Sts answer the questions .
- T shows a picture of the countryside, a picture of the city and raise some Qs:
“Where is it? Is it in the countryside or in the city?”
Sts answer “in the countryside”& “in the city”
“Do you think that now many people move to live in the city?”
Sts answer “Yes”
“Why?”
Sts answer “to get good job/to earn money/to have better life”
T presents the words .
T uses pictures to explains new words 
T reads new words , Ss repeat
 T Checks vocabulary “ What and where ” 
- T has Sts look at the exercise 2 (p.75), then read the text and find the words 
- Sts work in groups, then give the As
- T has Sts check the As. Then T has Sts listen and repeat all the words and give Vietnamese meanings.
- T has some Sts read the new words to check their pronunciation
- T has Sts read the text again and answer the Qs
- Sts read and find the As. Then ask and answer in pairs.
Some pairs ask and answer the Qs
T explains some more details through the Sts’ As to help Sts understand the text.
- T has Sts work in groups and fill in the summary (1/p.75)
- Sts work in groups and give the As. 
- T and Sts check the As
-T asks Ss to discuss
-Ss work in groups
- Ss give feedback
- T asks 4 volunteers from 4 groups to show their ideas before the class .

- Do you like in the city or in the country ?
- What is the difference between the countryside and the city ?
