 -To help students summarize the lesson.

 PROCEDURE:
A.Warm-up: Group work: Find the monetary units of some countries:
 Thailand, Korea,India, Japan, United Kingdom,U.S.A, Russia
B.New lesson: READING
 1.Presentation and lead in: Listen to the song ,find out the repeated word
 “Money”
 VOCABULARY:
-Primitive society # modern society 
-Cash(n): paper notes + coins
-Barter (v): exchange
-Wealth (n): riches, properties
-Credit card : (pictures)
-Precious (adj) : (examples)
 *Check vocabulary:WHAT and WHERE?
 2.READING:
 a.Pre-reading: TRUE-FALSE prediction: 
 -T:deliver the handout and ask S to work in pairs to write “ T “ or “F” for each sentence
 1.Money is used for buying or selling
 2.Paper money has been used since 18th,19th centuries.
 3.In the modern world, a barter system of direct good exchange is no longer used.
 4.In 18th,19th centuries, coins were made of metal and given monetary worth.
 5.Paper notes, cheques and credit cards are cash
 b.While-reading:
 *Activity 1: Read the text again and check the T-F Prediction:
 KEYS: 1-T, 2-F, 3-T, 4-T, 5-F 
 *Activity2: Game:Lucky and unlucky number (answer the questions)
 Students work in two group : Choose the number and do as they are asked.
