 UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN 
 Lesson 1 
I. Objectives. 
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Greet and respond to greetings formally.
- Sentence Patterns: Good ____.
- Vocabulary: Mr Loc, Ms Hien, Mai, Nam, Phong 
 Good morning. / Good afternoon. / Good evening.
2. Skills.
- Listening and speaking.
3. Ability/Quality:
- Learn hard
- Confident in learning and practice situations
4. Forming competence:
- Self-study ability
- Use language to read and write about their school and lessons
II. Teaching aids:
- CDs player, stereo, book.
III. Methods: 
- Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present....
IV. Procedure.
A.Warm up: 
- Says hello to the class and introduce yourself, using Hello, I’m + your name.
Walks around the class to say hello again to some pupils and ask them to 
answer.
B. New lesson.
Introduce the new lesson
1. Vocabulary
- Good morning: Chào buổi sáng (from 5 a.m to 12 a.m) (using pictures)
- Good afternoon: Chào buổi chiều (from 1 p.m to 5 p.m)
- Good evening: Chào buổi tối (from 6 p.m to 9 p.m)
* Checking: matching pictures
 2. Look, listen and repeat:
 - Set the scene. - Give instructions.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 2 groups and ask them to play roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in pairs.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues.
 3. Point and say
- Use the pictures a, b, c and d on the book to run through some new words:
+ Good morning: Chào buổi sáng (from 5 a.m to 12 a.m) 
+ Good afternoon: Chào buổi chiều (from 1 p.m to 5 p.m)
+ Good evening: Chào buổi tối (from 6 p.m to 9 p.m)
- Set the scene for sts to elicit the pattern:
 Good _________, _________.
 Good _________, _________.
- Ask sts to work in pairs.
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task.
B. Reinforcement:
- Call sts to greet each other in an informal way or formally.
- Comment.
- Encourage sts to greet their parents, sister, brother, grandfather, grandmother at 
home.
C. Homelink:
 - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures
- Tell pupils to do the part 4,5,6

Period: 03 + 04 
 UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN 
 Lesson 2 
I. Objectives. 
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge: - Know the way to say and respond goodbye.
- Sentence Patterns: Goodbye. See you tomorrow. / Goodbye. See you later. / 
Good night.
- Vocabulary: see you tomorrow, see you later, good night
2. Skills.
- Listening and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality:
- To teach Ss to work hard, love their friends.
- Be polite.
4. Forming competence:
- Co- operation
- Self- study
- Ss know how to greet and introduce themselves.
II. Teaching aids:
- CDs player, stereo, book.
III. Methods: 
- Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present...
IV. Procedure:
A. Warm up: 
Game: Jumbled words
(Using the words: good morning; Good evening; Good afternoon)
- Ask sts to go to the board and write their answers.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
B. New lesson.
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Set the scene.
- Give instructions.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 2 groups and ask them to play roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in pairs.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues.
2. Practice.
- Set the scene for sts to elicit the pattern:
 Good _________.
 Good ________. - Ask sts to work in pairs based on the pictures on the book then practise freely.
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task.
C. Reinforcement : 
- Ask sts to play a role to greet and say goodbye
D. Homelink
- Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures
- Tell pupils to do the part 4,5,6
