Ss look at the pictures in part 1(p70) to identify the similarities and differences among them, guess the answer to tick.

- Listen three times and tick the answer that they hear. Then write the words that they heard. Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner

Week 35 UNIT 20: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THIS SUMMER? Period 135: Lesson 3 (P2) A. Aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: read and understand the content of the text. Speaking, reading and listening and writing skills. Teaching aids: TV, laptop, textbook, board. B. Procedures: I. Warm - up: Ask students read the chant. II. Practice: 1. Read and complete: -Tell pupils that they are going to read the text and focus on the information to fill in the blanks. If necessary, get pupils to work in pairs or groups. Check understanding. - Give pupils time to do the task. Go around to offer help, if necessary. - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - If there is enough time, let some pairs ask and answer the questions Ask students to answer these questions: 2. Write about the plan for you summer holiday - Have them work in pairs or groups to discuss what they are going to write. Check comprehension and give feedback. - Give pupils time to do the task. Go around to offer help, if necessary - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - If there is time, ask one pupil to write the answers on the board. III. Production: 1 Project. . - Have pupils write on the cards. - Have pupils tell the class about their cards. You may put their cards on the classroom board for display. IV. Write the answer - Guide Ss to complete the sentences. - Read the questions, look at the pictures and write the answers. - Do the task independently. - Compare the answer with the partner. - Some pairs to act out conversations in front of class. The rest of class gives comments. 3. Look and write. - Guide Ss to look at the pictures and complete the text - Read the text and look at the pictures (p71). Then guess possible words or phrases to complete the sentences. - Complete the exercise in individually. - Ss check each other for correction. - 3 Ss write the answers on the board, 6-7 Ss read aloud the sentences they have written.The rest of the class listen & give comments. ==============================* * *============== Period 138: SHORT STORY. A. Aims: - Help students to review all the structure from unit 16 to unit 20. Review the words, do exercises in the book. Develop: 4 skills. B. Procedures: I. Warm - up: Greeting II. Practice: 1. Read and listen to story - Guide Ss to read the story. Ss look at the picture and read the story in individual. - Read the text and guess the words to replace the red words. - Ss look at the picture carefully & listen to the tape and correct the words. - Read in group ( Ss role play among the class) 2. Work in pairs. Put the words in the correct order. - Guide Ss to put the words in the correct order - Ss do the task, write down the sentences independently. - Ss check each other their answers in pairs for correction. - 4-5 pairs read aloud the conversation. Others give comments. .Correct the wrong sentences( two are correct) - Guide Ss to correct the wrong sentences. - Offer the help when necessary. - correct. - Do the task independently. Then check each other for correction. - 4-5 Ss respond the answers. The rest of class give comments. Period 139-140: TEST (Kiểm tra cuối kì 2)
