 UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS?
 Lesson 1 
I. Objectives: 
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 
1. Knowledge:
- Ask and answer questions about the other speaker’s address.
- Sentence Patterns: What’s your address? – It’s _______.
- Vocabulary: numbers, address, lane, road, floor, flat, tower 
2. Skills:
 - Listening and speaking.
3. Attitude/ Quality: 
- Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers.
- Love people and their hometown. 
4. Forming competence: 
- Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork).
- Self-study ( can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves.
- Use language to ask and answer questions about someone’s address.
II. Teaching aids:
- CDs players, stereo, book.
III. Methods: 
- Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present....
IV. Procedures
A. Warm up:
1. Class organization:
- Greeting: - Say hello to the class and introduce myself
- Checking for the students' attendance.
2. Oral test:
- Check pupils’ books, notebooks 
B. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat:
• Whole class: Have pupils turn their books to Page 6. 
- Ask pupils the names of the characters and what they say. 
-Tell them that they are going to hear Mai, Trung and Nam greet and ask, 
answer about their address.
- Explain the meaning of the language practised. 
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the 
appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. 
Repeat the step a few times. 
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
2. Point and say:
- introduce the new words: 
- address - lane
- tower 
- Revise the numbers from 1 - 100 
- Play the CD twice for sts listen and repeat
- Explain the pattern:
 What’s your address?
 It’s 
- Point at each picture and ask the question:
 What’s your address? For sts answer chorally
- Have sts practice asking and answering in pairs 
- Monitor the activity and help sts if they need
- Invite some pairs to speak to check their performance
- Remind the capital letters
3. Let’s talk:
- Tell class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering 
questions about addresses
- Get sts to work in groups of 4 to ask each other’s addresses in 5 mins
- remind them to use the questions and answers in their books
- Monitor and help sts
- Call some groups act out their work
- Give feedback
C Reinforcement:
- Have sts retell the content of the lesson.
D. Homelink:
- Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures
- Tell pupils to do the part 4,5,6

 UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS?
 Lesson 2 I. Objectives: 
 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 
1. Knowledge:
- Ask and answer questions about what a place like.
- Sentence Patterns: What’s the _____ like? − It’s ______. 
- Vocabulary: city, village, town, island, big, busy, far, quiet, large, crowded, 
small, pretty
2. Skills: 
- Listening and speaking
3. Attitude/ Quality: 
- Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers.
- Show pride and love to your hometown and respects to other’s hometown.
4. Forming competence:
- Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork).
- Self-study ( can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves).
- Use language to talk about what a village/ town/ city is like.
II. Teaching aids:
- CDs players, stereo, book.
III. Methods: 
- Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present....
IV. Procedures
A.Warm up
- Matching: divide class into 2 groups and work in group
 1. Busy a.Countryside
 2. Big 
 3. Small 
 4. Noisy 
 5. Peaceful (yên bình) b.City
2. Look, listen and repeat
- Ask Ss to identify the characters.
- Have Ss listen and repeat the short conversation
- Have Ss play role to read the dialog in groups.
- Call some pairs to read the conversation.
- Check Ss’ understanding:
3. Point and say
- Ask Ss look at the pictures a, b, c and d on page 8. Ask Ss to describe each 
picture.
- Give an example and ask Ss to work in pairs to play roles - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Have the whole 
class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. 
 4. Let’s talk 
Give each student a card. Then T has them to ask their friends some question 
(Ex: Where do you live?, what’s it like?, who do you live with?) and fill in card

- Call some pairs to perform in front of class and then correct mistakes if
