 UNIT 2: I ALWAYS GET UP EARLY. HOW ABOUT YOU?
 Lesson 1 
I. Objectives: 
 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 
1. Knowledge:
- Ask and answer questions about someone’s daily routine
- Sentence Patterns: What do you do _____? 
 I always / usually / often / sometimes _____.
- Vocabulary: always brush my teeth, usually do morning exercise, often cook dinner, 
sometimes watch TV
2. Skills:
 - Speaking skill
 3. Attitude/ Quality: 
- Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers.
- Should have good habits.
- Love themselves.
4. Forming competence: 
- Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork).
- Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves).
- Use language to talk about daily routine.
II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present....
III. Preparation.
1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book.
2. Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks.
IV. Procedures
 Warm up
 Teacher’s activities: Play game “brain storm”
 Country Viet Nam
 - Introduce the game
 - Student’s activities: listen and play game
 1. Look, listen and repeat.
 - Ask Ss to look at picture and ask some question: “who are they?”, etc.
 - Turn on the CD and ask Ss to repeat some times
 - Have Ss to role play in dialogue
 - Ss look picture and answer question.
 - Ss repeat and role play
 2. Point and say - Ask Ss to look at picture. Then ask and answer with question “What’s your 
 address?’
 - Have Ss work in pairs to play roles 
 - Do an example with picture a.
 - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Have the 
 whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. 
 - Ss look at pictures and practice
 3. Let’s talk
 - T runs through.
 - Introduce this part and do example with a student.
 - Ask Ss work in pair 
 - Listen and work in pair
 4. Consolidation:
 - Summary the lesson
 5. Homelink
 - Ask Ss to practice sentenece pattern at home.
 - Instruct ss to do the part 4-6

 Lesson 2 
I. Objectives: 
 By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 
1.Knowledge:
 - Ask and answer questions about frequency
- Pupils can ask and answer questions about frequency.
- Sentence Patterns: How often do you ____? − I ____ every day / once / twice a week / 
month. 
- Vocabulary: study with a partner, go to the library, go fishing, ride a bicycle to 
school every day, once a week, once a month, twice a week 
2. Skills:
 - Listening and speaking.
3. Attitude/ Quality: 
- Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Should have good habits.
- Love themselves.
4. Forming competence:
- Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork).
- Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves).

 - Ask Ss look at the pictures a, b, c and d on page 8. Ask Ss to describe each 
 picture.
 - Give an example and ask Ss to work in pairs to play roles
 - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. Have the 
 whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. 
 4. Let’s talk 
 - Give each student a card. Then T has them to ask their friends some question 
 (Ex: Where do you live?, what’s it like?, who do you live with?) and fill in
