Period 13 UNIT 2: MY HOME
Lesson 5: Skills 1
 A. Aims: 	By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice reading skill, understand the content of the email and describe a room 
Teaching aids: Posters, pictures.
B. Content:
I. Warm up: Ss name the things they often see in a hotel room 
- T calls on Ss from different teams to go to the board and write the name of the things. Which ever team gives more things will be the winner 
I. Pre- reading:
1. Pre-teach vocabulary:
- crazy : ngốc nghếch, điên 
- all year round : suốt quanh năm
- cool (adj) : mát mẻ 
- to be named after : đặt tên theo 
- different (a): khác 
- between and : giữa...
- strange (adj) : xa lạ 
- messy (a): bừa bộn, lộn xộn 
 2. Pre- questions

- What’s the topic? 
- Write 3 things you know about Dalat 
III. While- reading: 
- Ss read this text and check their answers
- Matching (with key):	English	Vietnamese

IV. Post- reading: 	
- T asks Ss to creare a new room for the hotel and draw a plan of the room 
- Ss show the plan to a partner and describe their room in pairs 
- Some Ss show their partner’s plan to the whole class and describe it 
- Ss and T listen and vote for the best plan 
V. Homework: 
- Learn by heart the new words 
- Do exercises E2 (P.15) ,3 (P.14)
- Prepare Skills 2
