Week7 Period 19: unit 4 : Our past lesson 1: getting started & listen and read Date of planning: 27/9 a. Objective : By the end of the lesson, Ss’ll be able to say the event in the past and get to some words denoting the objects in the home B . language content: * Words : some new words denoting the furniture in the home used for daily activities * Skill: speaking and listening c. Teaching aid : book, pictures, stereo and chalks d. PROCEDURE : 1. Warm up : T: Greeting & asking some questions + What do you do everyday ? + Do you watch TV? + Do you phone your friends? + Did people watch TV 50 years ago ? .... and so forth Ss: listen and answer the questions T: request ss to look at the picture on the page 38 and name 5 things that don’t belong to the past 100 years ago Ss: look at the picture and then find 5 things that do not happen in Viet Nam 100 years ago . Pre - speaking: Teacher’s & Students’ activities Content of activities T: ask ss some questions about the dialogue to lead in the topic of speaking Ss: listen and answer the questions T: explain how to use “ used to” and then give more examples Ss: listen and note down T: call others to give more examples Ss: do as the request + What did Nga’s great grandma use to do? T: raise the hand to do T: ask ss to lead into the topic of the lesson.
