Warm up. - Check the old lesson. - Give feedback. - Lead in the new lesson. II. New lesson. 1. Look, listen and repeat - Ask sts to look at the pictures then run through and set the scene. - Give instruction. - Open the cassette all the way through. - Ask sts to listen again and repeat the dialogue. - Divide the class into 4 groups and ask them to play a role. - Have sts to do further practice in pairs. - Give feedback. Language focus: - Phonics: field, piece, teacher and reading. C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting. D. Procedure: I. Warm up: - Ask sts to recall what they have been learnt from the last lesson. - Comment. - Lead in the new lesson. II. New lesson. Tiếng Anh 4 1. Listen and repeat - Have sts to concerntrate on: ie, ea in the words: field, piece, teacher and reading. - Pronounce the focused sounds a few times as a model. - Play the recording twice for sts to listen and repeat. - Ask sts to repeat and others give feedback. - Let sts listen to the CD again then tell how to pronounce the sound of the letters: ie, ea in the words: field, piece, teacher and reading. - Ask them to compare the sound of these wordswith Vietnamese. - Give feedback. 2. Listen and circle. Then say sentences with the circled words. - Ask sts to discuss what they are going to do. - Play the recording for sts to listen. - Replay for sts to listen and circle the best answers. - Play the recording again for sts to check their answer. - Ask sts to compare with their partner. - Call on some sts to report. - Give feedback.
