Activity 1: Activity 1:Warm –up: Play game: slap the board (5’).
-Vocabulary: Moday, birthday, party, play game.
*Procedure:
-T tells ss what they have to play game.
-Have SS play game in two teams.
-T counts the points for each team, announces the winner and gives compliment.
- T links to the new lesson.
Activity 2: Work in pairs. Answer these questions: ( 7’)
- Ask students to read the story in the book and fill the suitable words to complete 
the dialogue.
- Ask Ss to read the text in silence and check their comprehension.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to do the exercise 
- Call on 2 Ss to write the answers on the board
- Check the correct answers and call some pairs to read the conversation in front of 
the class 
- T gets feedback.
Activity 4: Write the correct answers to Activity 3(7’)
- Tell Ss that the five statements are the answers to the questions in Activity 3 but 
they are wrong, and they should correct them
- Give them time to read the first correct answers as an example, then the rest of 
the statements and ask Ss to correct them
- Ask them to do the task in pairs
- Go around to offer help when necess ary
- Get Ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class 
- T gets feedback.
*Outcome: SS can improve reading skills about knowledge that ss learnt
Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask students to answer the following questions: 
1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
(Review vocabulary and grammar structures related to the theme Me and my 
school .)
2. What’re the core values of the lesson? 
(Love friends, love school and love people)
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook. - Prepare for the next lesson

 STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES/ LEARNING PLAN
Warm up: - Chatting about what did people do.
 - Lead into new lesson.
 Activity 1: Read and listen to the short story. 
- Tell ss that they are going to read and listen to the story cat and mouse. Give a 
few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. Check Ss’ comprehension and give 
feedback.
- Before they listen, ask them to look at the pictures and ask them questions to 
remind them of the characters. (E.g. What's the name of the black-and-white cat? 
What's the name of the white mouse? Can you see the brown cat and the red cat? Who are 
they? Do you know the grey mouse? Can you remember his name?)
- Ask them to read the story in silence. Then play the recording all the way through 
for them to listen and follow in their books
Activity 2: Answer the questions. 
-Tell Ps that they are going to read the conversation in part 1(page 73) again and 
answer the questions. Give them a few seconds to read the story again and check 
their comprehension.
- Give them a time limit to do the task.
- Ask them to swap and compare their answers before checking as a class.
- Invite a group of seven to act out the story.
- Give feedback.
Activity 3: Unscramble the words from the story.
- Tell the class that they are going to look at the scrambled letters and write the 
words.
- Have them look at the scrambled letters and find the words from the story.
- Set a time limit for the task. Give them the first letters of the words if they find 
the task too difficult.
- Ask pupils to compare their answers before checking as a class.
- Invite a few pairs to read the words aloud.
 Activity 7: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask students to answer the following questions: 1.What have you learnt from the lesson today?
