Human beings, animals as well as plants depend upon water for their survival. For this, they rely on the weather, which can bring rain. If there is too little rain, rivers dry and the crops get ruined. On the other hand, if there is too much rain, it leads to floods, which can wash away the fertile soil and can damage crops as well as buildings.
The river Nile floods naturally every summer, watering the land in the Nile valley and making it fertile or, in other words we can say, making soil good for growing crops.
Flood is very dangerous as it causes a lot of dammage. It drowns people and animals, destroys homes and crops. Floods can also cause water shortages. They cover the land with dirty water, contaminating clean water supplies and helping diseases to spread.
